We seek to create value by deploying capital in commercial real estate and residential for sale housing projects. We carefully underwrite all of our investments with sufficient equity to create a protective buffer against market fluctuations. We have a straightforward approach with those with whom we do business. Nothing is more important to our business than our reputation.
Businesses
Carderock invests in commercial real estate projects for long term capital appreciation with a focus on the Washington Metropolitan Area. Carderock seeks both stabilized and value add investment opportunities. Carderock generally looks to hold core assets on a long term basis. Through its affiliate Carderock Builder Capital, Carderock also invests capital with residential homebuilders and land developers on infill homebuilding projects, residential condominium developments and residential lot development opportunities. CBC seeks to turn its capital in 12- to 36-month project periods.

Frederick Roseman is a founding member of Carderock Investments and its affiliated entity Carderock Builder Capital. At Carderock Mr. Roseman focuses on identifying new investment opportunities and financial underwriting. Prior to founding Carderock Mr. Roseman was a practicing attorney with a focus on commercial real estate transactions. Mr. Roseman received his undergraduate degree in political science from Colgate University and his juris doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School. He is a member of the bars in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Philip Friedman is a founding member of Carderock Investments and its affiliated entity Carderock Builder Capital. At Carderock, Mr. Friedman focuses on negotiating deal terms, project management and investor relations. Prior to founding Carderock Mr. Friedman was a practicing attorney with a focus on civil litigation. Mr. Friedman received his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and his juris doctor degree from Stanford University Law School. He is a member of the bars in the State of California, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
